Connection process in 360dialog

To get a WhatsApp Business account, you need the following:

  • a valid Facebook Business Manager ID
  • a valid phone number for WhatsApp
  • our affiliate referral link

 

Connection algorithm:

1)    Applying for a connection.

Apply to create a WhatsApp Business account using the WhatsApp Business account submission form. Our managers can provide the link to this form.

 

After you input your account information, you can find the terms at the bottom of the submission form. Check the boxes to accept the terms of use.

 

2)    Receiving an email.

Next, you will receive an email inviting you to log into 360 Customer Center so you can track the setup process.

 

When you enter the hub (360dialog dashboard), you will see the status of your WhatsApp account. No action on your part is required at this stage. Your application will then be sent to Facebook to be reviewed.

 

3)    Approving the messaging request.

When your WhatsApp account is sent to Facebook, you need to accept the «Messaging on behalf of» request in your Facebook Business Manager. Follow these steps:

  • Click on the link in the email or log in to Facebook Business Manager yourself.
  • In Facebook Business Manager, choose  Business settings.
  • Click  Requests.
  • In the  "Received" section, find our request and click  "Approve".

 

4)    Full business check.

In order to continue working with the WhatsApp API application, you should complete the business verification in Facebook Business Manager. This means that you will have to provide Facebook with some documents proving the existence and legitimacy of your business.

When you upload the required documents, Facebook will begin the verification process. Once the Facebook verification process is completed with a positive result, the following notifications will appear confirming that the business account has been verified:

  • A message in your business manager approving business confirmation
  • An official email from Facebook approves the company confirmation

 

5)    Trade policy verification (WhatsApp Business account status).

Then, WhatsApp will check your account to ensure it complies with the WhatsApp Commerce policy (read more in the article: https://www.whatsapp.com/legal/commerce-policy/?lang=en). So be sure to review them carefully to make sure your business fits them.

This step will be performed automatically once the business is verified, so no data is required from you. The WhatsApp Business account status indicator will turn green to indicate a successful verification or red if the account has not passed the trade policy verification.

 


6)    Approving the display name.

One of the next steps in business validation is to approve your company’s display name. This is usually your company’s name, which is pre-selected; Facebook will review it and approve or reject it.

Display name rules are stringent, and names are often rejected due to small details or minor discrepancies between the name and the Facebook business, website, or social media. To avoid this, be sure to carefully read the Facebook rules (for more details, see the article: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/whatsapp/guides/display-name/).

 

7)    Registration of the number.

When the process is complete, you will see the status of the channel on the hub and can activate the 6-digit verification PIN through a phone call or by clicking Trigger Registration.

 

When you receive a 6-digit PIN code on your device, click “Complete registration” and enter the code when prompted.

 

8)    Get access and go on with your business!

After successful registration of the number, you will be able to see it on the hub. In addition, both the WhatsApp account and the number should now display in green, which means the number is connected to the WhatsApp Business API.
